- Why is there an unspoken rule that the FBI shouldn't release information 3 months before an election, what if someone got killed by one of the candidates?
- Maybe because it can have a bias, but still, they should be tried for crimes they committed no matter what position they are in

There is a lot of information that is publicly released during elections by the media, mostly against candidates during the election process. if there are crimes that the candidate has committed the press most likely will cover it, and if the government releases bad stuff about a candidate would allow people to say that they have a political preference.
